I’m a big guy, I’ve done traditional strength training and power lifting for a long time. I’m so glad I started with the 3kg. My range of motion was abysmal and if I tried to go much heavier my first time I probably would’ve done a rotator cuff or possibly a given myself a wrist injury! This mace is amazing for a first timer, really well made, brilliant grip and gives you a feel for the exercises without risk of injury. Definitely an awesome purchase, I am so grateful and thankful to the advice that had been given – the 3kg is a perfect balance for me, I’ve slowly practiced the 360 and it’s changing my posture – 10 reps left and right for now, but yes “Team Dangerously Fit” I have been talking to my work mates whose ages range from 18 to me 56 and me mate 57, if this piece of equipment is helping me, your product will certainly help them.
I know the boys would rather see the proof first, and I’m working at it – it’s so worth the time effort – I look forward to my 20 rep session and will add more as I progress through this motivation. I have quite severe osteoarthritis in my ankle and struggle to find exercise that can get my heart rate up to improve fitness. I haven’t had the mace for long, but I can certainly see how it will benefit me. It’s a great weight for learning, but I think I’ll have to go a little heavier once I am comfortable with the movements. I wish I could have someone to train me in person to check my form, but mace training seems a bit obscure in New Zealand currently. Videos provided are great!
